Had the pleasure of taking my first DEXA with Kevin at the City location yesterday. Kevin is highly knowledgeable, professional and genuinely interested in translating this precision technology to the individual. Cannot recommend the service highly enough and the insights provided are just so important for general health, performance and longevity. I now have a dataset to benchmark all my future scans against for shorter term goals but also for decades to come - (Lean Mass, Bone Mass etc) Another major point I appreciate is this service does not act as a gatekeeper to DEXA technology - what I am so used to back in Ireland - services are very slow to allow ‘self-referral’ and they have this innate myopia in which they cannot understand why healthy people with ambition would want or need access to this tech. Cameron made me welcome and he was polite. He explained everything in detail to me and made feel comfortable. After the scan he made comparisons with my previous two scans (2023/2024) highlighting the improvements and how they impact my health. It was hard work on my part and it paid off. Scan was efficient without excessive talk - some small talk and then to business and the results were explained in a very efficient and informative manner - just the way I expect from a professional. Went in for a scan with Arthur last weekend, and it was a quick and informative experience. Arthur was really easy to talk to and made a great effort to explain what all the metrics meant and going forward what the steps I was planning to take would affect me and the results on future scans, and the results themselves were already really informative for me as they highlighted a discrepancy in muscle mass between my arms, which I'm now going to focus balancing out over the next few months. All in all, a really good experience.

It's very rare that I leave a review for anything. However, I have now been coming to BodyScan UK at Marylebone for 4 years to monitor my progress and keep myself accountable so I feel like I now have a good sample set. At my very first scan in 2021 Rob was very thorough, professional and supportive despite my nervousness. He went through the whole report in great detail outlining all the numbers and their significance. Then, as opposed to just prescribing a plan of action he heard what my thoughts were, what I'd tried and what I'd felt did or didn't work for me before offering feedback and advice on how I could increase my odds of success. Since that first scan even though it's always several months between visits, it's been a pillar of support throughout my fat loss journey. Rob's been there each time to listen to what actions I've been taking and we've been able to talk about how those actions have affected my body composition each time, and every time I've left with a solid idea of what to try (and what not to try) next time. It's been invaluable in discovering what approaches work for me as an individual. As for cost, yes it's not something you could (or should) do without careful consideration, but I definitely see it as an investment in myself that I have seen pay dividends. I was particularly impressed recently where at my latest scan I had shown up to a broken DEXA scanner. But in consideration for my travel time Rob and the team went above and beyond to squeeze me at the City branch while I was still in London. Which was particularly appreciated because it happened to be the scan in which I finally surpassed my intended body composition target! On this note Arthur at the London City branch, despite being put a bit on the spot on my account, was very warm and friendly throughout our last minute appointment. So in case it's not already obvious, I would wholeheartedly recommend BodyScan for tracking your body composition journey.
