It's very rare that I leave a review for anything. However, I have now been coming to BodyScan UK at Marylebone for 4 years to monitor my progress and keep myself accountable so I feel like I now have a good sample set. At my very first scan in 2021 Rob was very thorough, professional and supportive despite my nervousness. He went through the whole report in great detail outlining all the numbers and their significance. Then, as opposed to just prescribing a plan of action he heard what my thoughts were, what I'd tried and what I'd felt did or didn't work for me before offering feedback and advice on how I could increase my odds of success. Since that first scan even though it's always several months between visits, it's been a pillar of support throughout my fat loss journey. Rob's been there each time to listen to what actions I've been taking and we've been able to talk about how those actions have affected my body composition each time, and every time I've left with a solid idea of what to try (and what not to try) next time. It's been invaluable in discovering what approaches work for me as an individual. As for cost, yes it's not something you could (or should) do without careful consideration, but I definitely see it as an investment in myself that I have seen pay dividends. I was particularly impressed recently where at my latest scan I had shown up to a broken DEXA scanner. But in consideration for my travel time Rob and the team went above and beyond to squeeze me at the City branch while I was still in London. Which was particularly appreciated because it happened to be the scan in which I finally surpassed my intended body composition target! On this note Arthur at the London City branch, despite being put a bit on the spot on my account, was very warm and friendly throughout our last minute appointment. So in case it's not already obvious, I would wholeheartedly recommend BodyScan for tracking your body composition journey.

I've had a couple of DEXA scans previously, and this is a great place to have one done. Jack has excellent customer service skills and made the whole process easy and enjoyable – who doesn't love a bit of self data! As a personal trainer, I often recommend DEXA scans as a starting point and for tracking progress over time. I've already sent clients to Jack and will happily continue to do so. One tip I'd give anyone considering a scan: try to use the same machine each time, or at least the same scanner and software. Small differences between DEXA systems can affect some measurements, so keeping everything consistent gives you the most meaningful comparisons over the years. Highly recommended.

All very easy from initial email enquiries to booking and then on the day. Information from the scan and VO2 test will be invaluable over the coming weeks and months. Only minor criticism is the lack of pedal clips/ straps on the bike for VO2 test. Feet were slipping off so hoping that gets sorted for the next test.

My Wife & I recently had our second visit after 6 months to see James at Bodyview Birmingham. I had another Dexa Scan & Vo2 Max Test, my Wife had a Dexa Scan & RMR Test and we were both keen to see imporvements following our first visit and we were not disappointed with the results and have booked up again in 12 months. The whole process is a great experience if you're keen to know more about how to imporve, and areas to focus on as the years go by and even though I'm a keen cyclist I'm more than happy to do my Vo2 max test on a Treadmill because of the relationship my Wife & I have struck up with James, he's very imformative and the advice he offers is backed up by the results of the scans/tests themselves, he was also on this occasion willing to offer advice to my stepson who we took along as he is currently studying sports science at college. My only disappointment was the Vo2 Max test itself, I understand the procedure has been changed and James was still trying to get to grips with it. I wasn't as keen on the shortened version or the results, simply because over a 12 minute period the report didn't show my Optimal Fat Burning Zones in anywhere near the same detail as on the first Test where I started at 5.5kmh and increased my pace by 0.5kmh at 1 minute intervals for 20 minutes finishing at 15kmh. The results of that test stated very clearly the transition/decrease from Fat Calories as fuel and an increase in Carbhydrate Calories as the Test progressed with my Optimal Fat Burning Zone of 84-88bpm. All in all though a great experience, and we've 12 months now to put the work in before returning.
