I decided to sign up as they were offering a little discount on trainee scans (with the experienced person right there the whole time). So glad I did! The sign up process was smooth. Directions made sense. Clinic easy to find in the building. Everyone I came into contact with was polite and friendly. They were not weird about me being non binary and on hormones - we discussed and they advised which of the two pools of data (male or female) would make the most sense to reference for different readings - this would likely be different for other trans folks depending on where they were in their transition or if they were medically transitioning. It was excellent to be in a room chatting geekily about body composition stuff. I may have been a bit overexcited and overly chatty but I didn't notice being hurried or any impatience, so they either allow a few minutes for over chatty people or are skilled about moving the process on regardless haha! The one less than perfect thing was that I was offered to buy further scans at a reduced rate and wanted to go ahead. They DID say I'd need to purchase them that day but they didn't explain that they would charge them to my card after I'd left. This was only stated in an email which I didn't get to look at until later. I actually needed to move money from a savings account for the purchase so I needed to know that. I had left the building and walked back to ask the receptionist about this but they didn't know - then later I noticed the payment had been taken out of my main account. So better communication on that point is needed. Other than that it was great and I'm feeling very motivated and excited to get on with my post covid back to fitness journey! ..... Edited to give five stars from my initial 4, mostly due to the kind and understanding apology, plus an extra scan was given to me to say sorry and make up for the mistake. Completely unexpected but much appreciated. Great customer service and it's nice to have a detailed review appreciated and feedback acted on 👍🏻

Great experience. Simple check in and no waiting around. Rob talks through the report findings logically and provides good, detailed and personalised advice on how to improve the stats. Interesting to see if things can change before the next scan. Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in finding out more about their body composition to take the guesswork out of training.

With the Dexa Scan being quite pricey, it has taken me some time to take the plunge. Post my first session, I can now assure you that it is exceptional value for money (I bought the 2 session package). I gained incredible insight into my body composition and am now even more determined to stick to my goals to reduce body fat further. Further benefits being confirmation that my visceral fat is at a very healthy level and body density very good too!
