I was recommended a DEXA scan by a nutritionist while I was trying to lose weight to get a more accurate idea of how much protein I need to consume based on my muscle mass and also to see exactly what the body weight difference is made up of e.g. body fat or muscle mass. In the past 18 months, I've had a baseline scan and 2 follow-up scans. It's insightful to see the details of my body recomposition e.g. how much body fat, I've released and that I've also gained muscle mass, especially between my last 2 follow-up scans. It's helpful to see these measurements not just based on feeling leaner and stronger, looking slimmer and more toned. Now I know that the program I've created for myself is working and helping me achieve my goals. BodyScan make it a very seamless experience from the online booking, to punctual and informative appointments, and follow-up information on what to do to reach your goals, if you need/want further advice. I highly recommend it.

I found Bodyscan to be a very professional company which I would use again and recommend. From start (i.e. booking) to finish, the process was easy. Rob was my consultant - he was personable, informative, and very clear about my next steps in terms of health objectives. I trusted him. Studying my results afterwards raised a couple of new questions which were not addressed during the interview, so I googled for more information. Perhaps that's normal - you've never seen the data before, nor the graphs and your placement on these graphs. It hasn't detracted much as I'm hoping it'll all be redundant by my next scan!

Everything is so easy - booking, finding the place. And very friendly. The scan takes around 4 minutes but then the next 50 or so minutes is spent explaining what it all means and where realistic targets might be set. Arthur was my consultant. He was brilliant. We’ve set some exciting goals. I’ve booked another test in 12 weeks, and with Arthur. It gives me accountability and I want to make sure I’ve lost fat, not muscle. I think well worth the investments.
